About the Artist
Tabitha is a Canadian born artist currently living in Clearwater Florida. She attended E. L Crossley where her love of art really began to flourish under her wonder art teachers there. She received the Pelham Art Scholarship and went on to get a BA with honors in History and Visual Art from Brock University. She sold her first piece on the day of graduation. Since then she has continued to create original work and commissioned pieces which can be found all over the United States Canada.
Her first love is painting but she likes to explore other mediums so she never feels boxed in to any one discipline. She loves the high contrast drama of graphite drawing as well as the etherial depth created with paint. Living in both the Niagara peninsula and on the Gulf Coast has greatly impacted the subject matter of her paintings where she explores the dynamic between Sea (or Lake) and Sky. Her drawings are heavily influenced by her history background and love of the Greek Classical and Renaissance Periods.
Tabitha's goal is create meaningful and impactful work that is also genuine and accessible. She believes that art and beauty feed the soul and are essential to the human spirit.
